যশোর অফিস : ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গে করোনার নতুন ভ্যারিয়েন্ট ওমিক্রন মোকাবিলায় নতুন বিধিনিষেধ ঘোষণা সোমবার সকাল থেকে বাংলাদেশের বেনাপোল আন্তর্জাতিক চেকপোস্টে বাড়তি সতর্কতা জারি করা হয়েছে।
বেনাপোল পুলিশ ইমিগ্রেশনের ওসি রাজু আহমেদ জানান, পশ্চিমবঙ্গে করোনার ওমিক্রন ভ্যারিয়েন্ট মোকাবিলায় নতুন বিধিনিষেধ ঘোষণা করেছে। এজন্য আমরাও সতর্কতামূলক অবস্থানে আছি। তবে, আজ থেকে হঠাৎ করে যাত্রী পারাপার কমে গেছে।
তিনি আরও জানান, স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের নির্দেশে বেনাপোল ইমিগ্রেশনে স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তারা যাত্রীদের স্ক্রিনিং করা হচ্ছে। ভারতফেরত ১২ বছরের বেশি বয়সী যাত্রীদের ৪৮ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে করোনা নেগেটিভ সনদ থাকলেও র্যাপিড এন্টিজেন টেস্ট করা হচ্ছে।
বেনাপোল স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের কর্মকর্তা ডা. আশরাফুজ্জামান জানান, মেডিকেল ও বিজনেস ভিসা (আমদানি রপ্তানি ডকুমেন্ট) ছাড়া কাউকে ভারতে প্রবেশ করতে দিচ্ছে না ভারতীয় ইমিগ্রেশন। গত ৫ ডিসেম্বর থেকে ২ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত মোট ৬২ জন যাত্রীর স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে। তাদের মধ্যে একজনের ওমিক্রন শনাক্ত হয়েছে। তাকে যশোর মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে আইসোলেশনে রেখে চিকিৎসা দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
