ভোলায় গোসল করতে নেমে ৩ জন নিখোঁজ হয়েছেন। এদের মধ্যে দুই শিশুর মরদেহ উদ্ধার হলেও এখনো নিখোঁজ এক বৃদ্ধের কোনো সন্ধান পাওয়া যায়নি।
জেলার সদর, বোরহানউদ্দিন ও লালমোহন উপজেলায় এ পৃথক তিনটি ঘটনা ঘটে।
উদ্ধার হওয়া মরদেহ দুটি হলো- শিশু নাঈম (১৪) ও মাহিম (২)। তবে বৃদ্ধ আবু হানিফের (৬৫) এখনো সন্ধান মেলেনি।
নিখোঁজ আবু হানিফ বোরহানউদ্দিন উপজেলার বাসিন্দা। মাহিমের বাড়ি লালমোহন উপজেলায় এবং নাঈমের বাড়ি ঢাকার মিরপুরে। সে সদর উপজেলা ৩নং পশ্চিম ইলিশা ইউনিয়নের পাঙ্গাশিয়া গ্রামে তার খালার বাড়িতে বেড়াতে এসেছিল।
পৃথক এ তিনটি ঘটনার বিষয়ে জানা গেছে, নাঈম গতকাল সোমবার (৮ মে) দুপুরে ঢাকা থেকে বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে খালার বাড়িতে বেড়াতে এসেছে। এরপর ওইদিন দুপুরেই তেঁতুলিয়া নদীতে বাবার সঙ্গে গোসল করতে গিয়ে পানিতে ডুবে নাঈম নিখোঁজ হয়। ঘটনার পর ভোলা কোষ্টগার্ড দক্ষিণ জোনের একটি ডুবুরি দল অভিযান শুরু করে।
মঙ্গলবার (৯ মে) বিকেল ৩টার দিকে ঘটনাস্থলের একটু দূরে তার ভাসমান মরদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়।
লালমোহন উপজেলার চরভূতা ইউনিয়নের ৯ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডে সকালে বাড়ির সবার অগোচরে পুকুরে ডুবে শিশু মাহিমের মৃত্যু হয়। স্বজনেরা পুকুর থেকে তার ভাসমান মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে।
অন্যদিকে বোরহানউদ্দিন উপজেলার মেঘনা নদী সংলগ্ন একটি খালে গোসল করতে নেমে দুপুর ১২টার দিকে আবু হানিফ (৬৫) চৌকিদার নামে এক বৃদ্ধ নিখোঁজ হন। বিকেল ৫টা পর্যন্ত বোরহানউদ্দিন ফায়ারসার্ভিস ওই বৃদ্ধের কোনো খোঁজ পায়নি। তারা অভিযান অব্যাহত রেখেছেন।
সংশ্লিষ্ট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) এ ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
